Chester County Resilience Week

Resilience is the ability to bounce back in the face of adversity. There is no doubt that what we are experiencing with the COVID-19 pandemic is an adversity. Many of us are finding ourselves struggling mentally, physically, and financially with the quarantine and social distancing requirements set upon us. In times like these, it's not only important but it's imperative that we take care of ourselves and our families so that we can fully recover from this difficult, and in some ways traumatic, experience.

There is research that indicates that the decisions you make during and after stressful times matter. This is why we are focusing on resilience for an entire week! We want to highlight how residents of Chester County are working on their resilience, taking care of themselves and their families, and staying well during this collective traumatic experience.

So what exactly are we asking of YOU? It is our hope that you will join us in promoting, sharing, and participating in "Chester County Resilience Week." Each day of the week we are going to be focusing on a different resilience factor. We are asking that you share how you and/or your family are working towards that specific resilience factor. Additionally, we are charging you with hash tagging your post with #ChescoResilienceWeek in order for us to come together as a community during this uncertain time. You can get ideas from others as far as how they're staying resilient and encourage your friends and family members to focus on hope and wellness to successfully bounce back from this adversity.

Please share these images on your social media platforms and other partners to help us promote Chester County Resilience Week!
